Running PostgreSQL isn’t hard — running it well over time is. We built Noctaploy for small teams who want managed Postgres without hyperscaler lock-in, proprietary formats, or “platform tax”.
- For: indie hackers and small teams with 1–3 app servers who want boring, predictable Postgres.
- Not for: latency-critical, VPC-coupled fleets. If you need private network adjacency, RDS/Cloud SQL is a better fit.
- No lock-in by design: backups are standard PostgreSQL dumps you can download and restore anywhere.
- DIY is valid: if you enjoy running Postgres yourself, you should. We’re for teams who’d rather pay to avoid babysitting it.
Managed Postgres is a commodity. Trust and portability aren’t.
